Northeast Ohio Plating Products
For our Northeast Ohio customers we have several product offerings, each with their own unique benefits.
Electroless Nickel/Nickel
Satin to semi-bright silver in appearance, nickel is one of the most versatile surface-finishing processes available. The broad spectrum of end uses includes decorative and engineering. Attributes include excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and appearance.
AMS 2403J | Nickel Plating, General Purpose |
AMS 2424D | Nickel Plating, Low Stressed Deposit |
AMS 2416G | Nickel-Cadmium Plating, Diffused |
ASTM B 689-90 | Electroplated Engineering Nickel Coatings |
Mil-C-26074 | Electroless Nickel |
Mil-P-27418 | Nickel Plating, Soft (Electrodeposited), Sulfamate Bath |
Mil-STD-868A | Nickel Plating, Low Embrittlement, Electrodeposition |
QQ-N-290A | Nickel Plating (Electrodeposited) |
Cadmium
Bright silver to gray in color, cadmium is corrosion resistant with exceptional solderability, ductility, lubricity, and good anti-galling properties. Cadmium offers twice the corrosion resistance of zinc for the same deposit thickness. It offers protection against substrate corrosion or the corrosion of the underlying material by corroding before the base metal. This protection remains unimpaired despite minor damage to the cadmium coating such as scratches or small punctures.
AMS 2400 | Cadmium Plating |
AMS 2401D | Cadmium Plating, Low Hydrogen Content Deposit |
ASTM B 766-86 | Electrodeposited Coatings of Cadmium |
Mil-STD-879B | Cadmium Plating, Low Embrittlement, Electrodeposition |
QQ-P-416 | Cadmium Plating (Electrodeposition) |
Zinc
Silver in color, zinc is soft, ductile, and marginally solderable with decorative qualities. It offers protection against substrate corrosion or the corrosion of the underlying material by corroding before the base metal. This protection remains unimpaired despite minor damage to the zinc coating such as scratches or small punctures.
AMS 2402 | Zinc Plating |
ASTM-B-633 | Electrodeposited Coatings of Zinc on Iron and Steel |
QQ-Z-325 | Zinc Coating, Electrodeposited |
